Gift Aid is one of the simplest and most effective ways of giving to charity.
Gift Aid is a scheme administered by the Inland Revenue which allows us to claim 25p for every £1 that you donate. For example, if you donate £10, we can claim an extra £2.50, making your donation worth £12.50. It will not cost you any extra.
Your donations will qualify as long as they’re not more than 4 times what you have paid in tax in that tax year (6 April to 5 April). The tax could have been paid on income or capital gains. If you are unsure, please get in touch and we will be able to help.
If you have donated to us in the past or wish to donate to us and want to check that you are gift aiding your donations, please call us on 0141 774 3344
How to Gift Aid your donation
If you donate online simply tick the Gift Aid box, this is the same as completing a Gift Aid Declaration Form.
If you choose to make a donation over the phone or in person, you will need to fill out a gift aid declaration form and return it to Cranhill Development Trust reception or email it to firstname.lastname@example.org. Gift Aids forms are available at CDT reception or you can download a form here:
To ensure we can claim the money back, it is crucial that all the information asked for on the declaration is provided and recorded accurately.
