English for Speakers of Other Languages

Cranhill Development Trust offers a range of ESOL opportunities to suit the different needs and abilities of the newcomers to the city who want to improve their English. These take place at our centre in Cranhill and in other outreach venues across the east of the city in Easterhouse and Sandyhills.

We work with partners such as Glasgow Kelvin College and Glasgow Life to provide ESOL classes across all levels, and a wide area of the wider East of Glasgow. The styles of these classes range from less formal, conversational styles, to formal classroom set-ups.

Some classes can lead to recognised English qualifications, and some classes are more social, but all will help people to improve their English skills and meet new people.

With restrictions still in place due to Covid-19, we are currently running a range of classes online and providing extra ESOL materials and support via a dedicated Facebook page.
