Community Meal Volunteer
Do you have an interest in cooking? Wanting to learn more about healthy eating, cultural cooking or how we are trying to tackle food poverty and social isolation throughout the east end of Glasgow?
Our monthly community meal programme relies on volunteers to support its delivery from creating menus, cooking to entertainment for the evening. This is a monthly opportunity, 1st Friday of each month. The Community Meal opens at 6pm, volunteers must be able to commit to prep for the evening from 2pm that day.
The Community meal provides a friendly and welcoming environment for members of the local community (and further afield) to enjoy an evening meal together once a month. This is a free event and we rely on volunteers to help keep it running smoothly. Along with our Community Food Coordinator and Community Development Worker, you will help set up the dining space, help prepare the meal, serve meals and assist with clearing up afterwards.
